I know that taking the first step when needing help or support can be daunting..... counselling can be the first step to beginning your healing.
As a counsellor, my approach to therapy is to offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore your emotions and issues that are causing you discomfort in order for you to heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
My experience has largely been in the charitable sector working with Adults with a range of presenting issues such as, Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement, Self-harm, Suicidal Thoughts, Confidence, Life Changes, Stress, Family Issues, Abuse and Anger. I have also worked as a school counsellor working with 11-18 year olds, during which time I recognised just how important early intervention and fostering a healthy approach to mental health with our young people is.
I am an integrative practitioner which means I can use different models of therapy, combining Person Centred Therapy, CBT and Psychodynamic Therapy tailored to you and your needs.
We are all individual and I believe that therapy should reflect and recognise that. You are at the centre of the therapy, this is your journey and therefore we work together on an approach that feels right for you . I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground for you to work on these.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. As a registered member of the BACP (British Association For Counselling And Psychotherapy) I am bound by and work within their code of ethics maintaining best practice and client safety.
